What this site collects

This is a personal portfolio. It uses Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used. I don't use Google Analytics, advertising, remarketing, or any other tracking tools, and I don't collect personal information through this site.

How Vercel Analytics is used

Vercel Analytics is included once in the site's root layout through the official @vercel/analytics package and automatically tracks page views. Only the default page-view tracking is used — no custom events are sent.

Analytics data collected

According to Vercel's official Analytics documentation, the data it processes is anonymous and aggregated. It can include:

• Pages visited (URL and dynamic path)
• Referrer
• Approximate geolocation (country/region, not exact)
• Device type, browser, and operating system
• Event timestamp

Why this information is collected

I use it to see which pages are visited, how many visitors the site gets, and roughly how people find it. This helps me keep the portfolio useful and focused without tracking individuals.

How Vercel processes the data

Vercel processes analytics data as the hosting and analytics provider. Per Vercel's documentation, Web Analytics uses aggregated statistics, does not store raw IP addresses, and identifies visitors with a hash created from the incoming request that resets daily. It does not reconstruct browsing sessions across sites or identify individual users.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not write to local storage for tracking. Because the analytics setup is cookieless, this site does not show a cookie-consent banner. This site does store your light/dark theme preference in your browser's local storage — this is used only to remember your display preference and is never read for tracking or sent anywhere.

Third-party services

This site is hosted on Vercel, and Vercel Analytics processes the anonymous analytics data described above. No other analytics or advertising providers are used.

Data retention

Vercel's documentation states that analytics data is guaranteed to be stored and viewable for a reporting window that depends on the Vercel plan (for example, 1 month on Hobby and 12 months on Pro), and Vercel may retain the data longer to support plan upgrades. Visitor session hashes are automatically discarded after 24 hours.
